Holiday Mantle

My Holiday Mantle
Snowflakes~Crystals~Greenery
A fresh wreath suspended under the carved arch
I found at Home Goods last year.
It fits perfectly above my fireplace
 and makes quite a statement.
The wreath is flanked by iron and crystal sconces.
My walls are freshly painted in grey which
goes so nicely with silver details.
Snowflakes and crystal add shimmer.
A silvery sheer ribbon embossed with glittered snowflakes
holds this wreath in position.
The wreath is actually a candle ring that
I found at the supermarket
It has a strong metal base and so it's perfect for hanging.
Silver snowflakes and tiny white lights.
These pretty glittered snowflakes
come in a box of 20 from Walmart for $3.
A glittery star or two
A length of greenery mixed with lights, stars, snowflake
and ribbon sit on a vintage crocheted mantel scarf.
Soft and wintery
Mantle with only the wreath~
simple and fresh, good enough...
but I wanted some glimmer and sparkle.
A romantic mantle for the holidays!

Way tooo! much beauty over here!
It finds me wishing it were a picture of a Christmas cover on a Hallmark card.

You know you should take a picture of it than photo shop words on it, and have them printed out for your Christmas card, this year or next :)

Beautiful!

Sweet day of inspiration.

Amy that carved arch is out of this WORLD!!! Oh wow, I need to find one of those... (note to self... look for carved arches!)... The pale grey is so perfect as a backdrop for the greenery of Christmas isn't it? I love what you've done, I even loved the simple one before you added the sparkle! I need to get decorating for the holidays but feel like I need to remove items before I can add new ones!

Breathtaking, Amy! Can't say how beautiful it is but it is VERY magazine worthy. I like it better with the addition of the garland and extra sparkle below the wreath. That arched piece is just amazing!

Nancy

I love your mantel! Especially the ornate carved thing above...I know last time we saw it on your blog it was a darker color...I like it painted the lighter white. It's really amazing. If only we had Home Goods here...but we don't. Love all the white with a bit of the green. So fresh and romantic. So pretty. I'm still working on my dining room furniture!!!!

Looks so awesome!!! Did you say freshly painted walls? Oh my goodness, when's the last time you painted that room? Too funny. I was wondering where you found the small wreaths, great idea! I might have to get some of those decorations from walmart too!

oh boy, I am drooling over that carving! You installed this to create a visual abundance ABOVE the mantel. Crazy Cool.

You can do NO wrong on anything you use for display -- yet you are wise enough to keep a minimal balance. Nice Nice Nice.
