My boy got married this weekend.
It was a home grown affair in many aspects. We
all pitched in to help pull off a wedding that he
and his bride to be envisioned.
The day of the wedding we met at The Portland Company, in
Portland, Maine. It is a marine complex with a big brick
building that had a great rustic quality. A perfect backdrop
for what Justin and Madison had in mind for the day they said I do.
From hanging a backdrop of wedding streamers made from linen satin and lace
to cutting stems and filling vintage glass bottles for table top florals
setting up long tables and dressing them with ivory linens and burlap runners,
Justin had his mom and dad and step dad at his side.
There were plenty of brotherly moments too, as all was coming together.
Bit by bit the place was transformed...
Pop in visits from family and friends during the set up
It truly was a family day to remember!
I will share the finished room and some wedding pics soon.
