I picked up some white and black chalk paint and went to painting with the white. 3 COATS later, I realized it was actually the white wax. (I know it was such a dumb move!) I've sanded a bit and used mineral spirits and gotten quite a bit off. I can see some wood grain. Does it need to be all the way down to mostly bare wood? Or do you think I will be fine to go ahead and paint once it is dry?
