A surprise from a reader

One of the things that surprises me most is
when someone reaches out to me just because they enjoy my blog.
I received a gift from Hillary on the west coast~
She sent me this vintage hand painted brooch.
It is a piece of artwork.
Much like a large cameo in shape and size.
I happen to love old jewelry, and this brooch is just gorgeous.
Hillary included some other vintage items that she wanted me to have,
just because she loves reading my blog!
So thank you for reminding me that I am not in a bubble Hillary~
it is nice to know you are enjoying reading it as much as I do writing.

  5. Oh..that broach is sooo pretty. I have a similar one with violets on it that my great grandmother painted. I love it with that ribbon. Now you are a professional blogger paid in jewelry!

  11. My favorite, and least expected, thong about blogging is seeing how many wonderful, good-hearted people there are out there. How very sweet of Hillary!
