Summer Furniture Finds

When you are always on the hunt for decent pre-owned furniture,
like we are at Maison Decor,
there is never a guarantee you will be able to find the quality pieces
you want to refinish or sell straight up~ au natural!
But lately we have been lucky in this department and our stores have a decent
selection of dressers and tables and the like.
So here is a photo gallery of what we have photographed
and is in stock at the moment~
 John Adams mahogany dresser
Abigail Adams mahogany dresser and mirror
 French ormulu occasional table
 Metallic claw and ball table
Shabby chic white and grey french style coffee table
Gilt settee in pale aqua with gold wash and linen cushion
 Moroccan end table
 Spindle leg round occasional table
 Small console
 Early hard pine farmers table
Quatrofoil dresser by Thomasville furniture company
 Early country desk
King James dresser with fabulous lions head hardware
 Heywood Wakefield conservatory table
 Midsized cottage china cabinet
 Pair of grey end tables
Antiqued green block front chest
Of course we have fresh old finds coming in all the time in the mirror department~
So if you are looking for anything in particular give us a call or check out our web page,
we are trying to update it as things come in.  There is more as we haven't had a chance
to photograph it all either.  A French provincial dining room set with
cane back chairs will be headed into the shop this weekend as well
and I cannot wait to get my hands on that one!
We also offer custom painting for those pieces you may
have at home that need an update. So call for a quote,
we might be more reasonable than you think!!

  2. Hi Amy,
I can see that you work very hard finding these fabulous pieces. I know how tough it can be to find quality. Love them all and your transformations.

  3. You have found some great quality pieces- very hard to find as so many people are buying and painting used furniture these days- it is like a race to get there first to buy!

  4. There are days I lived just round the corner from you so I could bop in and see your goodies in person, then I look at the hole in my pocketbook and (sigh) realize it's good that I don't.

  6. Wow Amy...so beautiful! I am just trying to catch up here in blogland, been away a few days. That first dark chest and dark settee are magnificent, things are getting better and better over there!

  7. Hi Amy, re: the King James chest; just love the color!
Did you find it like this or did you paint it in a chalk paint color?
And if so, what color? Thanks~

  8. Grat stuff! I wonder if you could share when to paint, and when to leave it alone. I would have been tempted to paint the first two pieces, but it's so hard to decide! Good luck with the new store opening! BTW, we came down to FL and my hubby saw the clock for the first time. Loves it! Everyone who sees it loves it! Thank you for a truly one of a kind exquisite treasure! Best, Beth C.

  10. You've got the best job, Amy! What fun discovering all of these treasures! I do think I have a Heywood conservatory table on my front porch! How do you know the names of the pieces you buy? Do you have to Google them all....?
