Me and my Mr.Wonderful on Christmas Eve.
He had to work the late shift and protect our city.
We always have a family celebration the night before Christmas.
I had a lovely pianist come and play on our new baby grand
that a girlfriend gave us this summer.
It was a special treat to hear her play Carol of the Bells, my favorite.
My sons and their pretty girlfriends were here.
My sister Ellen and her hubby
and even my ex hubs joined the party.
Dillon and Tobey were sure to be part of the group.
I have never shown this room on my blog,
it is the man cave~decorated with a western theme.
Santa brought me this awesome book by Barbra Streisand.
~My Passion for Design~
I can't tell you how much I am enjoying this book,
it is loaded with ideas that I plan to use.
My hubby bought me a new car for Christmas!!
Wow! I love it!
So long to my mini-cooper and it's cramped quarters.
I can now carry 7 passengers and lots of thrift store finds.
My dad was released from the hospital yesterday!
That was a swell gift,
a big thank you to
my blogger family for your prayers.
The blizzard blew through town and
knocked over my little conservatory.
It will get a new location I think in the spring....
So thoughts turn to the New Year~
and all of my plans and projects I want to accomplish.
But not before thanking God for all of my gifts.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year
With health, love and happiness.
"Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours"... You looked like you had a Wonderful Christmas... Everything was gorgeous and OH THAT PIANO!!! LOVE THAT!!! That is my kind of vehicle, one that fits LOTS of "Treasure on the Hunt"!!!

Looks like you had an amazing Christmas....Congrats on your new car.

So happy that God prioritizes prayer requests: while the new vehicle is not a mercedes, your dad is OK! We are all happy to start a new year, reflecting in a cloudy and cool Jamaica (quality time abound) and laughing at how you look like a butterfly ready to break out of blog-land in the pic with the girlfriends. Plate rack doubles as antennas. Love to all!
ReplyDeleteA little secret to all, Ms. Mickey is my real life friend who has a bit of an inside track on my life! I was thinking I looked like a martian, but alas, it was the best pic of the bunch of us. So enjoy Jamaica and give kiddies and Mr. Mickey a big hug and kiss from us!
ReplyDeleteHi Amy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post. I have really enjoyed getting a glimpse into your personal life and your lovely family.
I'm so glad that your Dad is doing better, I know that's a real relief for you.
You look so cute all bundled up in your cute outfit, standing next to your brand new car!
I love it. It will hold lots of good stuff.
hugs and Happy New Year.

ReplyDeleteThat is one cool car...what an awesome gift!
I love Carol of the bells too! You should get some George Winston music if you like listening to that style on the piano.

Thanks for sharing your celebration! I am so happy to hear your Dad is doing better! You DID get a new car!!! Lucky you!! I did like the Mini Cooper though, but you wouldn't be able to fit many treasures in there. Now I can take you to my favorite Junk Shop! Very happy to hear that your holiday was merry!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a wonderful family christmas, and such nice gifts! I especially like that your Dad was released and doing better and the Barbra "dream home" book you received. I was once invited to go out to that home by Barbra (she loves roses) to bid painting the master bathroom tub with a garland and the closet doors in the victorian room where her costumes are hung.It was a surreal experience 3 years ago, she was very hospitable and showed me all around her property and gardens. I never did the artwork, my schedule and hers could not get together, but I have the experience to share. Have a Happy New Year! Christie
