Happy Valentine's Day Amy Sweetie... I couldn't pick just one, they were all so beautiful. Love the colors together don't you? I mean who said red and pink are for Valentine's Day. The teal and golden yellow, just beautiful. I always liked the velvety ones, that when you brushed them with your hand they were SO soft.
Thanks for sharing and have a beautiful Valentine's Day. Country hugs and much love, Sherry
All the candy boxes are beautiful, but I really like the red checked one. I think because I have never seen one.:):) Happy Valentine's Day. Smiles to you, Susie(She Junks)
oooooooooooooooo........... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. What a beautiful collection of photos for today! I can remember when the candy box was a beautiful as the gift itself. Does that date me? Thanks so much for sharing this amazing Valentine's Day 'gift'. Happy Valentine's Day to you.
I got such a pang of nostalgia....OMG I sooo remember these!!!! The more satin-y, more embellished with lace ribbon, the better!!!! Brings back great memories, and dont' even get me started on what was inside, I had zero willpower. And some things just dont' change...lol. Happy Valentines Amy!
Thanks for sharing these gorgeous boxes! A few weeks ago I was at one of my favorite antique malls and they had a huge Valentine's display. Out of the corner of my eye I spied the most fabulous large antique pink heart shaped candy box that was decorated with wide pleated pink velvet ribbon, millinery flowers and antique ribbon. I didn't care how much it cost, it was going to be mine. I turned it over and there in black and white was the dreaded "NFS" in pen. The words "Not For Sale" were not a welcome sight! LOL! ~Stacy~
Those boxes would make a wonderful present for Valentine's Day. Especially if it was filled with Belgian Chocolates or Hershey Kisses or something like that.
boy, i can remember my mom getting boxes like these. i have had a few of my own of that type in my day. love the aqua. dont suppose they would match anything that you have in your home do you??? hope you had a hopelessly romantic day. i had a nice one, even tho he was under the weather. thanks for the candy box show. :)
So glad you found such beautiful candy boxes. They are all just gorgeous and bring back memories of my childhood. Hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day because I sure did.
Why can't they make those Valentine boxes now..they are beautiful...I remember my dad giving similar boxes of candy to my mom...Oops, dating myself..again!! Beautiful...thanks for bringing back the memories!
Those boxes bring back memories for me of how they looked when I was a kid. I guess it got too expensive to keep making them like that. That's a nice collection!
I love them all, but my favorite photo is the first, because it's mine! I was lucky enough to get them both together in the same Ebay auction and for a good price, too! I love them and I'm always on the lookout for more that are a decent price, which is not easy! Michelle
Happy Valentine's Day Amy Sweetie...
