A french bistro chair with a glamorous look
A metallic putty color brings this garden chair
Don't we always need seating for one more?
However, these chairs don't come like this....
I used this spray paint....
On these glossy turquoise chairs from K Mart~
The price this week is $33.99 on sale.
The result is a dressy little chair.
That looks right at home in my living room,
just in time for Mother's Day brunch!

Hi Amy,
ReplyDeleteI was just pondering whether or not to buy a bistro set just like the blue one. Another booth owner has a set painted white and it's $60. for the table and two chairs. Now, after seeing yours, I'm convinced I should buy it and put it in my booth for more!!
I love the brushed satin paint. Looks very glamorous.
hugs
Sissie
Oh, Yes! I love what you did with the chair. I have used Krylon Satin Nickel many times. The sassy pillow is the perfect finishing touch. Very glam, indeed.
ReplyDeleteRosemary
Oh la la! Tres chic Miss Amy. I use the Krylon satin Champagne Nouveau on lots of things, I will have to try the Brushed Nickel next time.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have been meaning to ask about the pink mirror in your header, did you paint it yourself and if so what color and by whom? I am lusting over it!
Love it!;) Great price too~ Have a great day!!Hugs,Rachel

You just made a glossy kmart chair look like a parisian cafe piece! Love it. Thanks for the tip on where to buy!
ReplyDeleteSherry
Oh, great tip!
ReplyDeleteLove it
That looks fabulous, just amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe pink mirror color is Valspar paint (Lowes) Reflecting Rose. I added rustic brown wax over that to age it, (otherwise it was bright pink), but you could glaze it, and then I painted the highlights with Folk Art metallic champagne craft paint.
ReplyDeleteI need to go to Kmart and get those chairs.. I love the pillow....so bling bling !!!
ReplyDeleteAmy I love those French bistro chairs and yours looks fabulous, I LOVE that pillow!! Martina
ReplyDeleteAmy, that looks perfect for extra seating.
ReplyDeleteThe chair is adorable! But I can't take my eyes off that pillow. It really adds the wow factor.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute chair. Looks great with the pillow. Drat...can you believe we don't have Kmart here? We used to but no more. I could go for a couple of those chairs myself.
ReplyDeleteSo cute thanks for the heads up Kmart price fab!
ReplyDeleteDarling Amy- love the sweet finish you chose and I read down to your next post too and LOVE your kitchen cupboards!!! Oh how absolutely gorgeous!!! You did a fantastic job on them! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks great Amy!
ReplyDeleteThis chair is perfect...not big so it can easily tuck into a small space!
I LOVE YOU, AMY!!! I have been searching for affordable bistro chairs for months. I've been outbid on Ebay nearly every single time. And, I wanted turquoise! I've decided to accent with pops of turquoise (can you believe it?) after falling in love with a turquoise table in Flea Market Style and receiving a sample of Provence chalk paint. I am ordering one right now if I can get it online! Thank you!!!! I love the finish you've given it. If you read tonight's post, I'd love for you to link this up on Saturday. If I change my mind on turquoise, this is a lovely option.
ReplyDeleteI just love it when stars align!

I just love the pillow and the chair. I am using that same paint on one of my projects. I love the color. Thank you so much for showing these.
ReplyDeleteLaurie
Love your little chair and that pillow is adorable! Perfect, sweet little accent chair in a great unexpected color.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Looks much better in the new color. Where did you find the jeweled pillow...it's fabulous?!
ReplyDeleteJanie
What a clever idea. I have some of these chairs outside that are looking a little tired. I will have to give this a try. Your living room is gorgeous! Have a lovely week. x Sharon
ReplyDeleteThat glam pillow gets lots of comments! I found it last year at a TJMaxx n' More store, which is kind of like a Home Goods with clothes.
ReplyDeleteLove the bistro set and that glam pillow is really great, it spruces things up!

Really pretty. I have two bistro chairs that I bought in Paris when we lived there...they were on the balcony. I have them on my little balcony here in Calif. and I have good memories every time I look at them...plus you are right--great for extra seating.
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting from Penny's blog. Wow, I love what you've done with that chair. You are so right. It IS elegant and simple.

ReplyDeleteThe chair looks great. I love how interesting the simple sharp lines of the chair contrast to the softness of the surroundings. The color you painted it makes it look elegant and adding the jewelled pillow was the perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty home you have... pure delight. And I love your chair.
