These sloppy shabby curtains are so wonderful!
This image came from an old Flea Market Style magazine issue.
I wanted to draw them, but in a room of my own....
The large sized image cuts off the sketch,
but I wanted to give you a closer look.
I use a roller ball style pen and free hand my drawing.
Afterwards I use colored pencils to add color.
It takes about 30 minutes from start to finish.
I really enjoy sketching!
Your sketch is just beautiful, even better than the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are good. I cannot draw well at all. I love that sketch and thanks so much for the sweet comments always.

Awesome sketch. Sketching is such a beautiful talent to have.
ReplyDeleteYou are a true artist, my dear! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Those curtains are amazing...
ReplyDeleteI love those sloppy shabby curtains! And I love your sketch!!!! I want to be in that room, right now!
ReplyDeleteYour sketch is incredible!! Wow you are a great artist and the room you drew looks so gorgeous- elegant and dainty and fun! it is beautiful!! I love it!! :)
ReplyDeleteI can see why you're inspired! I copied and saved the original pic bc I LOVE this style!
ReplyDeleteI also love to sketch out window treatments. But you take it so much further. I haven't sketched and colored an entire room in years! You did a beautiful job!
I often have to sketch out designs for my clients to "see" what I'm explaining. Then the trick is making the curtain look like my drawing! LOL!
Thanks for the inspirtation today!
I have that picture saved in my inspirational book, too, Amy. Love the romantic, casual look of it. Your sketches are beautiful! Very romantic. :)
ReplyDeleteYour sketches are so charming Amy!
ReplyDeleteThis one definitely put a smile on my face :)
I think your sketch is as inspiring as the original photo.

Wow, you are so good at sketching! I was never really good at art I'm afraid. Your picture is great and wonder do you ever frame them? I think that a few grouped together would look amazing and very interesting!! take care, Maryann
ReplyDeleteSo cute, right down to the little frills on the rug. It's darling, I love your sketches, Amy (just as I love the sidebar ones too). I too, love to draw when the inspiration hits and may have it now, thanks to you!
ReplyDeleteO.K., what DON'T you do well?! Simply gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWow, awesome sketch, can't wait to see the end result!
ReplyDelete♥Thank you so much for your kind comments on my blog! ♥
