Elizabeth's Pink and Yellow Room

This happy room belongs to a little girl named Elizabeth.
Elizabeth's bedroom set belonged to her mother, Heather.
It is a classic yellow french provincial set from over 30 years ago.
The whole room is done in yellows and pinks.
It is so fresh and fun!
I just adore this bedroom set~
It reminded me of my white french provincial
bedroom set so many years ago.
My room was all done in shades of lilac and pink.
The flower power rug and quilt look so charming.
The small desk and chair are also old family pieces.
Elizabeth's dad freshened them up with white paint.
Elizabeth picked out the hardware on the desk herself.
Very nice, Elizabeth!
Her room has natural woodwork.
You think that white woodwork goes hand in hand with
pastels and little girls things, but look how nicely this turned out.
We added natural wood blinds for privacy and light control
and a pair of cute curtains from Target!
These curtains have appliqued flowers
on top of a patterned semi-opaque sheer.
One long rod fits under the slanted dormer to create
the feel of one big window.
I had to share this happy room with you today.
Doesn't it just make you smile?
You can dream up an adorable room on a budget for your little princess.
Add cheerful colors and repeat the pattern (flowers) around the room.
The perfect place to be a little girl.

  5. So sweet! This really makes me miss my daughter being little. It's all boys around here so no more pink and frills. Thanks for letting me have some little girl moments today. Precious!

  10. My little Elizabeth loves the way her curtains look and the blinds were a great decision! This morning she said she "loves the Amy set up my desk." Gotta love her...I am in trouble when I can't get her to choose things from Target anymore. Haha! Now I am just going to be on the hunt for a big pink chair for the corner of the room.

  15. That is so fresh and cheerful! Love girly rooms. Yes, we're lucky to have that stackable bluestone, it's not much different than using bricks and wall building goes fast.

Thanks for your kind comments on my blog.
