Its finally that time of year, when all of us in New England can
start planning some outdoor parties. With Memorial Day right
around the corner I went to HomeGoods to pick up a few things.
Let me start by saying I have never been a fan of drinking out of
plastic cups, but when I saw these beauties I became a convert.
Looks like crystal, doesn't it? I love drinking out of nice glasses
so I was thrilled to find such lovely barware.
There were so many pretty patterns to pick from, I decided to mix and
match. So if you are looking for a set of 6 and can only find 4 or 5, think
about mixing it up with two or three patterns that have the same feel.
I also loved the carafe that matched one of the sets of glasses
so I scooped that up too. Premixed margaritas or lemonade would be just
the ticket in this pretty container. Makes everything feel a little bit
more fancy when you pour and drink out of fancy looking things!
You could also use it for Orange Juice at the breakfast table.
As far as the linens at HomeGoods, there is so much to choose from.
Given my penchant for that French rustic vibe, I picked out napkins in a
purple and off white boho print, along with a runner in a neutral ticking stripe.
This way I could use them indoors or out~since my dining room has these
colors. If your colors flow from the inside of the house to the outside
you can put your things to work double duty.
A large galvanized tray with handles would help me get all my ingredients
out to the garden with ease and style. It will also work for BBQs and
any time I need to bring kitchen things outside to grill. Mind you
I am setting up a little Margarita station for a few friends right under
a shady tree in our yard. HomeGoods is carrying more and more foodstuffs,
and drinks are in that category. I found a nice "diet" type mix with all natural ingredients
for my lo-cal margarita. Let's head out to the garden and set up for the party, shall we?
Its so easy when you have everything on a large tray.
After draping the table with the cotton runner,
the tray went on next, holding all the ingredients for a nice little happy hour.
Let the guys start the grill and us ladies will have ourselves a diet margarita!
Get your plans ready for Memorial Day, it will be here sooner than you think.
Find all you need for your outdoor entertaining at HomeGoods.
They really have it covered, and in such a stylish practical way.
