I decorated the top of my piano with a bucket of hydrangeas and few silk florals.
I don't do a lot of interior decorating for fall~just a few touches.
Lets go outside and see what is new in the yard~
summer is waning and the garden is testament to that.
Purple asters are in bloom under the cherry tree
now with just a sprinkling of roses left.
now with just a sprinkling of roses left.
The old iron bed is still covered with morning glories.
This is also where my roses and tomatoes grow, side by side.
The tomatoe plants have been pulled out, save one.
An iron bird bath is new to the garden from summer antiquing runs in New Hampshire.
If your birdbath is too deep I was told to
put a rock in it so the birds
will have a stepping stone~they don't like a deep bath.
A vintage wire plant stand holds tiny mums
and assorted clay pots by the front door.
I plan to add some small pumpkins to the stand soon.
A few more pumpkins will fill the old iron planters too~
Amy your fall touches are perfect, not too much but subtle and elegant!

I love the bucket of flowers on your piano. The front door wreath is great too. I can just imagine those iron flower pot holders filled with pumpkins and mums. That is going to look fabulous. I need to get busy on fall decorating myself. It's still pretty hot here - 80's. Too warm for pumpkins...I think. But soon.....
ReplyDeleteYour garden is still beautiful even in this transitional period. I really think the door wreath is especially lovely. Enjoy your weekend. Ginger

Not to be dumb, but are tomatoes annuals and you replant them every year or do you just put them away for the winter? Do you leave all your iron stuff, like the bed, outdoors or pack it away for winter? Even here, in CA, we pack some stuff away. Most of my garden stuff is plastic and can stay outdoors. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Amy ... love the pops of Fall color! Your Fall front porch is stunning! xo
ReplyDeleteAmy your fall touchings are fabulous. You did an amazing job my dear!
